A POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE
Summer makeup definitely requires a lighter touch. What we’re aiming for now is plump, glowing skin, focusing on hydration and brightness. Basically we need to show more skin and it must not look like an old boot!
The good news is that bronzers are back! If, like me, you missed the fact they’d ever left the building, they certainly didn’t at my house, I say let’s just ignore the alleged brief hiatus in golden gilding and move ever onwards and upwards. On cheeks as in life.
I also like to toy with the idea of introducing a bit of colour at this time of year, to my otherwise magnolia-safe makeup choices but we’ll see how far I get with that, unlikely past the bathroom, but a girl can dream.
And finally, whether you need a quick zhuzh as you step off the plane, a bit more va va voom at a festival, a quick touch up on the beach, or you just want to look your best in your own back yard, swap cumbersome palettes for pots and sticks that can be thrown into pockets, and applied on the go with effortless ‘I don’t even need a mirror’ confidence.
Maybe do take a mirror though, just in case.
